Everybody is either struggling with weeds or knows someone who is. In the next five weeks, we are going to look at anxiety, worry, depression, suicide, self-harm and more. Jesus cares! He gets us! We believe turning to Him opens the door to getting help and hope. This series is for those who need help and hope, and for those who want to help others who are struggling.

Week 4: H.A.L.T. Depression!

Pastor David’s sermon “H.A.L.T. Depression” discusses causes of depression, some solutions, emphasizing the importance of seeking professional help for clinical depression. God’s gives us a roadmap for us “Halting depression” by addressing physical needs, honest communication with God, seeking His presence, and engaging in new opportunities.

Week 3: You Are Not Alone!

The sermon “You Are Not Alone”, addresses heavy topics of self-harm, suicide. Pastor David begins by addressing the harmful falsities we often believe about being alone and life being meaningless, asserting that such destructive beliefs are planted in our minds by our enemy satan. Through this message we want you to know you are not alone. Those needing help, please know suicide is not the answer you think it is. Those who have lost a loved one to suicide, please know, it’s not your fault.

In “Overcoming,” Pastor David delves into the issues of mental health, with a specific focus on anxiety and worry. He discusses the common misconception within some families and faith communities that viewing emotions as right or wrong is necessary. We advocate for the honest expression of feelings and handling emotions in healthy and constructive ways.

This message emphasizes the importance of honesty about being human. We look at also recognizing the myths Christians have about struggles, recognizing some of the Root causes of struggles.
